One of my friends, Eve of Atom and Eve Design (previously mentioned in On The Internet #4), has launched her design blog, ModachromeHome. Eve’s fantastic artwork and love of retro prints and psychedelic colors have come together in a fabulous way, and her home has been featured on DigsMagazine, Apartment Therapy, Ohdeeoh, Such Cool Stuff, which is a website featuring cool artwork, crafts, and music run by another friend, Fresh Peaches.
I do have to say this: I’ve been looking at pictures of Eve’s home and reading about her craft projects for years, and she is a fantastic artist and has a great eye for design. Though her personal style isn’t necessarily what I’d do to my own home, that doesn’t mean that I still don’t get something out of her blog. I love seeing what someone so bold and talented can do to their own home. So far, she’s written posts on the how her style has evolved, how to use color and how she makes the riot of color in her home look calm and coordinated, and the inspiration she gets from browsing retro fabrics on the web. I can’t wait to see what she writes next.
