Randomly Random

I’m not a sports fan, so I wasn’t too into watching the Stupid Super Bowl. But I did have to keep track of what was going on, which I did by having an extra tab open in Firefox to keep updated on the score. You see, I grew up in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and like every good public school student in MA, I was vaccinated against New York Fandom. So while I couldn’t care less who bats a field goal or pitches an incomplete pass, I was interested in yesterday’s game between the New England Patriots and the New Jersey Giants. (Giants Stadium is in East Rutherford, NJ - I’ve been by there before. Hence they are the NJ Giants.)

Boston sports in general have sucked for a long time, but Boston fans stood by their hometown teams. The prayers of Red Sox Nation finally saw the Sox win the Series in 2004 and then again. The Patriots won their first Super Bowl in a wicked long time in 2002. That was wicked awesome - I was still living back there then, and the atmosphere the day after was like, the coolest thing ever. Now we just need a Celtics comeback, and the Broons - does hockey still exist? I know that the Boston Gahden has been renamed back to the Gahden after years as the Fleet Centah. Anyway, a perfect season for the Patriots was sweet, and winning the Super Bowl would have been supah sweet. At least it was a very competitive game, not like when they lost back in 86. That was embarrassing.

I’ve had some really weird search terms lately. Check these out:

feet hurt when weather changes - Not sure I can help you there. My left hand hurts when the weather changes, but I can directly relate that to a broken bone from my car accident. I never had that problem before.

button-fever - Uh, not here. Try Lisa’s blog. She has a tenant with a button issue.

WHY ARE MY BOOKMARKED SITES DISAPPEARING - I DON’T KNOW BUT PLEASE STOP SHOUTING!

“gangents” - How in the heck this brought you here is beyond me.

all about me - I get this one a lot. I wonder, though - are people searching themselves? Because the search engine can’t read your mind, so instead of finding out about YOU, you find out all about ME. Mwahahahahahaha!!!!

“all about me” adult movie screenshot - Um, that wasn’t me. No, really. No sireee.

I’ve been thinking of adding an FAQ page. Problem is, no one has asked me any questions. Are you shy or am I revealing too much about myself here? Anyway, go ahead and ask. I’m curious to know what you all want to know about me. Even if I don’t end up doing a whole page of Q&A, with enough questions (more than 2) I’ll do a blog post about it. So ask away! Use the comments to ask or you can use my Contact page. For now I’m off to do more laundry, read more blogs, write some music posts, an think about a new theme, which would mean I need to figure that whole thing out.

Still keeping up with the local sports, I see. I guess you can take the girl out of New England, but you can’t take the New England out of the girl. But, what, no mention of the Bruins?

I think I did mention the Broons in my post, but I’m not much of a boxing fan so I have no idea if the NHL even exists outside of Canada anymore.
