PH - I didn't know they were from DE. There's quite a few of them around here, so everyone thinks they're local, esp. since they keep getting Best of Vegas awards.

I'm talking about a good old fashioned RB sandwich. Their RB was sliced thin, but with a knife, not a deli slicer. And the meat was well done, and it should be rare for a proper Yankee RB sandwich.

We do have a great Cheesesteak place right by my house, straight from Philly, so I won't even try Capriotti's cheesesteak. If it ain't broke, why try someplace else, right?

Did you know Capriotti's is a Delaware company? All the rest of the small chain are here in DE - what I gather is that one family member moved to Vegas and opened a shop out there.

Just to be clear, are we talking about a roast beef sandwich or a cheesesteak? Either way it sounds like the Vegas shop is screwing it up. Around here the RB, while probably not as good as your Yankee RB sandwich, is sliced thin.
I wonder if their cheesesteaks (which should be Philly-style) are as good...

In-N-Out Burger is to die for, the buffets can be hit or miss. Newer, more luxurious properties generally have better buffets.

You can absolutely get one of those Blokester buttons - just go to Instabloke.com! Oh, wait, that's you. Silly.

I'm sorry Kirsten that I won't be going to Vegas to meet you (and try out the nifty burgers too). I hear the casino buffets are to die for. All you gotta do is lose all your money and you eat for free. What a deal!

By the way, I really love that cool Blokester button. Can I get one too?

Cheers!

Nobody, next time you come to Vegas, try In N Out Burger. There's one just off the strip, on the corner of Tropicana and Dean Marting (formerly known as Industrial). It's about 2 blocks from NYNY. It seems like your typical fast food joint, but believe me, it's way better. All my east coast family and friends love it.

Beef and Vegas do not go together. They can't even seem to make a good burger out there. The best thing I had to eat while there last week was some sausage from Battista's. It was good, but way overpriced. But then, what isn't a rip off near the LV Strip?
