Has anyone seen this movie? Boyfriend and I bought it the other night and decided to watch it. It was rude, crude, and the main character managed to offend every single person he came across. No one was safe from his offensive ignorance - women, men, children, gays, straights, Jews, Christians, Americans, other nationalities, the rodeo, southern hospitality - like I said, everyone he came across. It was a fish out of water story taken to the extreme, with hilarious results. Yes, that’s right. It was hilarious. If you can see this as a movie for pure entertainment value and have the ability to laugh at how ridiculous his stereotypes are, then you will enjoy this movie. It is pure comedic genius, and I highly recommend it to anyone who can take a joke. Boyfriend and I almost puked we were laughing so hard.

I love that movie. What I found most offensive were the comments made by the people OTHER THAN Borat. That Rodeo guy scared me.
To Cafe Fromage: That couple is from Newton, MA and they were all over the news here after the movie came out. They had a good sense of humor about it and only wanted to make sure people knew their B&B did not have cockroaches. I was also bothered by that but their appearances on TV made me feel better. Plus now their business is probably booming.
Yeah, the Rodeo guy scared me too. Did you watch the extras? There was a newscast on the rodeo, it’s amazing the spin they put on it to try and bash Borat.
All about me - what do you want to know? I’m a 30 something gal who packed up and moved to fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada in 2003, and I'm having the time of my life, despite all my trials and tribulations. I like to blog about all sorts of stuff, basically whatever strikes my fancy. You may find me boring, or maybe not. Just keep reading. I promise there will be a gem in there once in awhile.

I’ve been meaning to see this movie. Someday I’ll have to rent it.
I know what you mean, it’s so wrong that it’s almost right.
I kept saying “I feel like I should be offended, but it’s just too damn funny!”
I thought it was pretty damn funny myself!
Borat was great. . .especially the etiquette washroom scene.
I loved the movie, because it showed just how ignorant people can be.
The only part I didn’t like was with the Jewish couple. They were so genuinely nice, and accomodating. That scene made me feel very sad.
