My damned air conditioner doesn’t work right. I had it recharged a few weeks ago, and now it’s not working again. It’s currently 91ºF out, and will probably get close to 95, and my damned air conditioner isn’t working. The coils are all frozen. The maintenance man said it’s because I have the exhaust open, but let me tell ya something – I had it open all year last year, and I could get this place resembling a meat locker. Now it’s an oven. I think they’re gonna have to replace the unit, which would be nice. It would also be more energy efficient if I got a newer one. The unit I currently have has got to be nearly as old as I am.
Why is it when I tried to google images of “hot” I got nekkid ladies? I know my mind is in the gutter, but the rest of the world?

Quit yer bitchin’, it’s 20 freakin degrees here! I’d love to have some of that hot weather right about now!! They say we might get a snowstorm in the next few days. See what I get for putting my snowblower away for the year?
If the coils are froze, you have problems. Either the condenser is plugged up with crap and needs to be cleaned out, the fan is bad, or there’s a low charge due to a leak. Not sure on the exhaust thing, but it is better to leave it closed.
Thanks, Nobody, about the a/c advice. I’m hoping my maintenance crew isn’t that knowledgeable and they’ll just replace the old power hog.
And btw, I said heating up. It’s not hot here yet. That will come in July when it’s 115 out. My a/c had better be working by then.
It’s 91 in the Vegas? Wowwww…..we had early 80s temps last week, we’re in the 50s for highs and anywhere from the high teens to the 30s for lows this week…..then next Friday we’ll have temps in the low 70s again.
I don’t blame ya, I’d be pissed if my a/c didn’t work, either!
wow, I long for that kind of heat (although I’d be whining that it was too hot in about 5 minutes)… we don’t even have air conditioners out here in Seattle… just suffer through the 3-5 days a year when it’s actually hot enough to merit one!
