Strange Dreams
I had a strange dream last night. It involved a mouse (or maybe 2, I can’t remember), being bitten, and having x-rays done while I was being treated for this bite. I looked up these dream symbols on a web site I found, and here’s what it said:
Mouse: To see a mouse in your dream, indicates fear, meekness, and a lack of assertiveness. You possess feelings of inadequacy and not measuring up. Alternatively, it may symbolize minor irritations and annoyances.
Bite: To dream that you are being bitten, represents your vulnerability regarding your unresolved issues emotions. You may be pestered by a problem or obstacle.
X-Ray: To dream that you are being x-rayed, denotes that you are being deceived by a person or situation. It is time for you to look beneath the surface of this person or situation. On the other hand, you may have sought yourself through a problem or issue that has been troubling you.
Not too bad, eh? First I dream that my anxiety rears its ugly head again, then the very next day I have an anxiety attack. Now I have a dream that basically tells me how I feel, like I didn’t know that already. Sometimes dream meanings are obvious, other times they take awhile, if you even get it at all. But no matter what, when you do figure out these dreams, it’s like - Duh!
Of course, when I was going through a bad breakup in college, I confided in a friend this really messed up dream that I had one night. Their reaction? “You need help.” Great, thanks, just what I need to hear. Dreams are supposed to be messed up, if they weren’t then we wouldn’t have these websites and books and all this other crap having to do with dream analysis. Freud wouldn’t have become the legend he is if dreams were “normal”.
Anyhoo, this just reinforces the feeling that I really need to devote some time to these issues I’m having right now. Only 4 more work days until I go on vacation. Don’t worry, my mom has a pretty decent internet connection, so I’ll be able to blog from there - if I have the time!
